I have a 2 fold question/problem and I believe they are connected.
#1 When I create an angle dim. in the creation box I will type in the tolerances and the nominal. Say my nominal is 5*32'55", well.. when I report the angle in the report window, the tolerances are always zero!! no matter what I put in the create angle box, and the nominal will drop the mins and secs and only display 5*00'00". Then only way to fix it is to go into the program script and change it there... going into F9/edit will not fix it. This is frustrating!
#2 It is also being very inconsistant on the selection of which quadrant it picks. I tell it in the creation box 5 degs. and it reports 95 or 85 degs. Sometimes it will do as it is supposed too and find the right quadrant, but on others.. i am stuck with it reporting incorrectly! I have it set to +/-180 in the settings, I have tried picking the features in different orders! Sometimes it works.. sometimes not.
I guess no one has any thoughts on this one?? Maybe I need to do a re-install or repair?? I had the same Pc-DEMIS version at my last job and it didnt do this... so I know that it is either i have a serious glitch, or i have a setting that is wrong. Thoughts??
Sometimes you need to create a reverse feature to get the correct quadrant. Sometimes you have to dimension your feature to an axis 90° off the feature. Sometimes you need to pull your hair out.
Have you selected degrees/minutes/seconds instead of decimal angles?
yes to both of your questions. Oh... yes on the pulling the hair out too!
everything from the help screen shows that my angle should be showing up correctly.
Though I have not found anything on why the nominal and tolerances that i type in are not sticking to the dimension. That is a new one to me, did not ever happen at my previous employment, so i am gussing that i have an unknown setting turned off that will not allow my noms and tolerances to be accepted while in the edit box!
