Has anyone ever used the Step by Step Dmis Programmer book offered through DMSC?
What can I expect from this book and is it worth the cost?

You do know pcdmis doesnt use native dmis code?
You can import dmis code and get it to work but its a pain.
If you are looking at native dmis code then there are other forums that can point you to the places you need to go.
cmm guys dot com (one word) is a good one to look at for dmis based software.
