Width @MMC as a primary datum

I have got a problem how to "learn" PCDMIS 2012 MR1 datum features of ASME Y14.5-2009.
When I have drawing specified width as a primary datum @MMB what features I can use? I need to simulate "hard gage".

Mid plane doesn't work with MMB condition and slot or notch are not 3D (no vector).

Can anybody help, please?

It looks like you could measure datum -A- as outside square slot, this way you don't need generic feature
