I come across a lot of these exhaust parts and have not always been 100% confident in the alignment methods I have used.
For this part, the customer has specified the flat area around the hole as the A datum, the hole as the B datum, and a specific point on the side of the part as the C datum for anti rotation (see attached picture).
Does anyone have advice on how to go about aligning this part and others like it to the specified scheme while producing consistant alignments?
