Amplitude Error

Good afternoon everyone. We have as one of our CMM's, a "ONE" machine and as of late as we crank up the speed of run of any of the proven PCDMIS programs to near 90-100% the machine stops and displays this error, "TR-FG 117, Y Amplitude Error" Any ideas what's going on with this? Usually this is tech support question but we're hoping a "quicker" response then thru the normal tech channels. Thanx.

  • That's an interesting note for the scales being dirty. This one time in band camp we had some dirty scales, the CMM slammed the Z rail into a 750 pound part fixture and slid it about 12 inches before stopping. This was due to contractors polishing the shop floor, the CMM didn't know where it was when all this took place, as stated from the service tech. I hope it is as simple as dirty scales for ya, but in our case no matter how many times we cleaned everything it never stopped until the tech changed out the card in our controller.

I will definitely keep an eye out for that behavior. Hope we don't have that issue.
