Amplitude Error

Good afternoon everyone. We have as one of our CMM's, a "ONE" machine and as of late as we crank up the speed of run of any of the proven PCDMIS programs to near 90-100% the machine stops and displays this error, "TR-FG 117, Y Amplitude Error" Any ideas what's going on with this? Usually this is tech support question but we're hoping a "quicker" response then thru the normal tech channels. Thanx.

It wasn't the scales that was dirty, but the readout that was to "tight".
I had a technician adjusting it, together with the other 2 scales, and now it runs like a charm.

Every Friday I clean the scales. Place the "tower" in one end, and cleans the scale and everything else from the middle to the ende.
Then I move the "tower" to the other end, and repeats the procedure.
I was told that alcohol or stuff like this might wipe of the "gold" on the scale so that they can't be read.

So guys, you where on the right path, but it ended up in a software adjustment.
