composite tolerance

Hello all,

I a new for this formu as well as PCDMIS. I was working on composite tolerance and could not figure out and hopping I would get some help I have registered. The composite tolerance is called as Øxxxxx A/B/C
Ø xxxx A. as you can see the second one is also called for position related to datum A. To me it is meaningless but if it was perpendicular, it would give me sense. am I wrong ? If I am, how is pcdmis calculating the Position?

It is controlling perp and it is also controlling the hole pattern in realtion to itself. Dimension the POSTION to A-B-C. Then create a best fit alignment using the holes, then dimension again with the tolerence in the lower segment of the Feature control frame.

thanks for the quick reply, the perp is understandable even if it is not called but the position is not.

Standard issue GD&T. A copy of the Y14.5 standard is worth its weight in gold.
