Flipping a part

How do you turn a part upside down and maintain yur past alignments? Is there a way to stitch things together or do you have to run 2 separate programs? Can't find anything in the hel file on this.

  • That would be a difference in our parts... Mine are mostly iron castings weighing in excess of 20lbs. Our tolerances aren't huge, but at 50 microns, the weight is pretty good at keeping us in the same general area.


    It depends what your best practices are then. We follow NPL guidelines to the letter when it comes to Metrology, but this could be too extreme for other companies. If you use fixtures and the component is heavy enough to exert downward pressure then I don't see as much of an issue.
