Remove datum shift and summary from TP report

I'm reporting the true position of a single diameter. My report shows the following boxes:

FCFLOC1 Size
FCFLOC1 Position
FCFLOC1 Datum Shift
FCFLOC1 Summary FIT TO DATUMS = ON, DEV PERPEN CENTERLINE = ON

I don't really want to see the bottom two items. It's eating up half a page on my report with info I don't strictly need. Is there an option to hide this from my report? I can't seem to find it.

  • I would like to say "No, there is not a way" to remove from displaying using XactMeasure reporting. If you switched to legacy all that "extra" information will not display at all.
But, it's been a while that I switched from XactMeasure dimensioning to Legacy.

There is a way, but I see that information as very important to help diagnose problems with the part.

Set the true position dimension to NONE for reporting to stats or the report, then extract the data into a variable and input that data into a generic point and report out that point for your TP number.
  • You could create a new report label, very small, with nothing in it, call it EMPTY.LBL. Then you right click on each the relevant lines in the Report Window, select Change label... and choose your new label.

In later versions of PC-DMIS there is also a choice "Hide..." when you right click in the RW, but I think this doesn't make the freed space available for other data.
  • File>Reporting>Edit>Label Template>Datumshift.lbl

Make a copy of the file before editing. Delete everything there and replace it with a single short 'drawn' line.

Works in 2013, not sure about older versions.

If you can do this, couldn't you remove Datumshift.lbl from the set that makes up the whole FCF label on the report?
  • I believe I tried that but the report ends up with huge areas of blank space.
  • Ah, I thought maybe there was a label that called a set of other labels, as a sort of subroutine. Maybe it's a bug, I mean, 'feature'.
