I DELETED AN ALIGNMNET USED FOR MY PART, AFTER I MADE MY PROGRAM AND THEN CONTRUCTED A NEW ONE. IT WILL CHECK MY DATUMS A,B,C, (the alignment) BUT NOTHING AFTERWARDS. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WAY TO "MERGE" THE PROGRAM BACK TOGETHER? OR SHOULD I START OVER?
F9>edit your ABC alignment, hit CAD=PART. (If you have CAD, that is).
If that doesn't work, close that program. Open the back-up. Delete the one that didn't work. Pray (to whomever you want, or not, this part is optional). After the ABC alignment, create a new alignment on CAD that will move your trihedron back to where it needs to be (all the subsequent measured features should move with it), then delete the new alignment and say NO when it asks to update. Pray again (or not, still optional). Sacrifice a virgin to the PC-DEMON (not optional). If it worked, VIOLA! If it didn't work, start over.
Create a new program and import the model. Create an alignment off of the model that is identical to what the original alignment was so that the origin will be in the same place. Make sure you do CAD=PART. Then open the original program and copy and paste everything after the alignment and you should be good to go. This is the way I do it when I run into this problem.
