Free form scan w/out cad model

I'm trying to perform a free form scan on a 6 inch tube with a contoured surface.
I plotted my points manually with about 8-10 hits, and when i generate i get an error
code and it does not input the scan. Not sure how to correct the problem and to get
the scan to run correctly, any ideas??

You will need to perform an Iterative Alignement

You needto provide more information. Take some screen shots of the scan dialog windows so we can see exactly which settings your are using and post them here.

I believe that you should enter XYZIJK values, then generate (I'd never tried to do it from points)
If you don't know values, then create a file with measured points, and read it to scan
