I have a quick question about the reporting format. I have a part that I am checking and one of the dimensions has a profile tolerance. I would to set the report up so that parts measuring negative for that specific dimension will display a warning. I don't want to change the tolerance for the dimension. I am not sure how to go about doing this as I haven't played around with the report settings very much. I know how to change the color for the graphing portion of the dimension, but can't get it to apply to one single dimension.
attached is a picture of the report and dimension that I need help with.
You should be able to assign a variable and populate it with the Profile measurement, then add Logic conditions (IF/THEN statements) on the variable to display a warning on-screen or on the report when the measured value is negative.
I use variables, but not extensively nor in this manner, so I can't provide the precise syntax/terms/process. It would be an interesting learning experience.
There's quite a bit of info in the HELP files about using variables and Logic as well.
