Probe Calibration issues. Everytime i calibrate angles my 0,0 barely passes if at all

Hey guys, please help.

I don't know what is going on, i have been using same equitment for years and never had an issue like this. Some reason when im calibrating my 0,0 my results range from .0005 - .0003. But all of my angles, say 90-90, 90,45, 90,90, ect. and so one will calibrate with results of .0001-.0002. I tried adding a a new tool, a new sphere, different tips, different TP20's, and building new probe files. I think somehow i changed something... and i just don't know what. I am at a complete loss here. Please advice if anyone knows something... PLEASE. Wink
  • have you tried different amount of hits? a different amount levels? I would try these things before I would have rebuilt all my probe and tool files. My preference that I use is 9 to 11 hits on 3 levels dcc+dcc

also a good cleaning of my cal sphere and tip make sure it couldn't be some sort of mishit.

start at the beginning. A0B0 with 'yes' qual sphere has moved. (make sure your build is tight, clean etc) in other words, take baby steps to figure out and logically eliminate what is causing your problem since as you say 'for years... and never had an issue'.... (also, could there possibly be cave monkeys in the mix?)
the stuff quoted in blue makes it seem like you're throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the dilemma. how about one A0B0 tip, verify your sphere (tool) maybe reset tip or rebuild your 'master' probe config. Also, always an outside chance you have backed up your probe files while things were still hunky-dory. Perhaps not. At any rate, good luck. Slight smile
