TR_FG014, Wrist Error & movespeed

Does anyone know if the movespeed can cause a TR_FG014, Wrist Error. We have been running the programs at MOVESPEED/15. One tech here is certain that is helping cause the error, so he'll move it back to 10. I still get the error regardless of the movespeed? HELP!!!

  • It is not my favorite either, but it is my only preference at the moment. I think it is the "best" because of it's ability to crash at random times (I save frequently) and it's desire to change nominals and tolerances when you least expect it. Aside from those problems, I enjoy working with Pc-Dmis alot more than Calypso.

Thank you for responding, but just to clarify: MOVESPEED does not cause the wrist error or add to it?

If the wrist itself has become weak and is on the verge of failure it the speed your machine moves and stops can produce the symptoms you're seeing. But with a healthy wrist and a good probe cable move speed should not produce a wrist error. You should be able to move your machine at 100% of it capability without issue.
