Measuring a circle in a tube

How can I measure a circle cut into a tube? The cmm won't take all the pre-hits because of the curve of the tube. It is a 40mm circle cut into a 76.20mm tube.

Take edge points around the cut.
Set workplane normal to circle.
Construct circle from points.

A cyl would be better no? Its not really a cir anymore
