Using 2017 I'm running an existing program. I use "find Center" for the square slots I'm measuring. Now when it tries to find the center the probe just keeps driving into the hole until the module hits the part surface. I have the depth set for .1 inches. I have never had this problem
I messed around with this a little bit. It seems like the program is telling the probe to take a surface hit at the specified "find hole" depth. So of course, the probe goes down until it hits a surface. But then the probe keeps moving around hitting the bottom surface until it hits the inside thread and errors out.
Update: I have played around with this and it seems like the depth setting I have for the circle seems to be causing the error. I can set my Z to -0.16 with a depth of 0, and a check distance of 0.1,1 and it runs fine. But if I have my Z set to 0, Depth set to 0.16, and check distance set to 0.1, 1, the probe smacks the bottom of the part. Even with my check distance off, it still smacks the bottom.

Don Ruggieri can this be tested on your end with this scenario?
