Good morning,
My company has a DEA Swift A000 manual (very old machine). It's a bit of time that frequently, when the operator move the X-axis, Pc-dmis shows a pop-up window with this note: X axis error (0x9) Reset E-Stop Button. The biggest problem is that he has to close the file on which he's working to reset the program. I've searched a lot on the forum and on the manual of the pc-dmis, but not found a similar problem. Someone can help me?
TIP: the DEA machine has been dismounted to be cleaned in the past. The problem appeared after the cleaning.
Thank you for your help
One of our machines was cleaned and when they did it the must have scratched the Y axis scale because after we kept getting a Y axis error and the only way we could correct was to restart the machine. We had to change the scale and encoder soon after because it stopped working.
Does the error keep popping up when you move past the same spot every time?
Thank you and thank for your answer.
The operator working on the machine says the error appears casually by moving along the X-axis. He told me that this happen also by moving the cable connected to the encoder. I dare to say that it is a problem of connection of the cable, or a damage of this one. That means I'll probably have to search for a replacement.
Maybe its just a loose cable or connection, I would start there since that's the easiest fix, but more than likely its going and will need to be replaced.
Glad to help.Have a good day
