Best Fit vs Best Fit Recomp

Hi guys,
I have a problem with how to construct a cylinder. I have a program here that uses 2 auto circles with adaptive scan. Those 2 are used to construct a cylinder. The cylinder is constructed & Best Fit Recomp is used instead of Best Fit only (PC.DMIS defaults to best fit). What is the difference then between best fit & best fit recomp?

Note that if you use best fit recomp, it recompensates with the currently loaded tip's diameter. If you used multiple tips in the measurement, it won't factor that in.
