We have a Renishaw MCR20 probe rack that has developed a bit of a quirk: occasionally, one of the probe tips will have a rough landing while it's being placed back into the rack. The part doesn't fully slide into its home position, so there will be a rough takeoff the next time this tip is loaded. This is sporadic, so it's more of a nuisance rather than a real problem.
Any ideas what's causing this? Is there anything I can do to fix the issue?
