Extracting Points From a Scan

Hey Guys,

So I'm writing a pretty large program that needs to check a bunch of contours. I think I can measure many of them with one scan.

However, for some reason instead of a profile call-out, I need to report X-Y and Size for a bunch of radii. Is there a way to extract the points from a scan and than construct features from those points?

Thanks!

  • if you are daring enough to produce a graphical tolerance output on a profile callout doesn't a misorder of points create some type of tolerance zone that bounces every which direction. And to that point, I think pcdmis needs to fix how they show the tolerance zone...it's based on points hit and not on the CAD model if I remember....If you only hit 8 points it is like an 8 pt tol zone instead of a clean perfect representation....I'm not sure this can be done, due to best fitting with single or no datums, but I saw crazy looking tol zones until I figured this out.
