I've aligned my cad model to my physical part but I need it to be in car position. Right now my origin is at an intersection between plane, line, and point. How do I get my origin (ucs) to be the same as my print??
I think there may be a few ways to deal with this. 1) Import the model with the 0.0 point already at your car body coordinates ( this must be done in cad ) and do an iterative alignment. 2) same as 1 except use the tools in dmis to move your 0.0. then do an iterative alignment 3) align to the cad like you have done and then offset the x-y-z- in the alignment to match what you need. I'm guessing since this is your 1st post you might struggle with all 1 & 2 ? Someone else chime in on 4-5-6 options ?

pc dmis offers a stupid option in the F5 window about car-body alignments but nodody besides salesmen who are trying to sell PC DMIS to unknowing people in the automotive industry use it
