sound for when the program is finished

how can I get a sound to go off when the program is finished? using 2015.1

Can this method be used to play a specific video file? Does the media program need to be specified or can it only use the windows default for that media type?

I never tried a video, but I'm almost certain it will, Your just telling the Demon to go outside the realm and preform something else.

Incredible.Mr.Lucas Yes, you can do videos. I have done it, but that was a long time ago. I believe it plays on the default media player.

Yesterday my coworker was able to make the batch file work with a video file, though when he tried to code it to open VLC rather than the new default windows app, it failed and reverted to the default. Previous to that he was trying to make a video file place in the same BAS file we use for auto save-as at the end of the program. He couldn't get the basic script to open a video file, and neither of us could figure out why one could do it and the other couldn't. This is entirely based on his coding knowledge, as I neither know basic or batch script. Can someone please post an example script in each language?

That would be fun. Whenever something is a super hot rush job the higher ups like to hang around the CMM with their fingers mentally crossed that the part will measure good and can ship immediately. That would be a perfect time to crank up the speaker volume and really make or break their day.

At some point, I will need to create a thread to ask the proper way of distinguishing between good and bad reports, as the way we do so currently seems insanely overcomplicated.

I actually spent time one time making the sound effects through out the program, Where if the feature callout was good, Homer would say "WooHoo!!" and went a feature was out, He would say "DOH!" It was funny the first few times through the program, then it just got annoying. Sometimes you can take things to far, and that was one of them.

We have 3 machines running 24/7 in one room, and 1 machine running close to that much in another. Just one alarm at cycle end will be sufficient for me.
