True Position of a circle

dear all,

I am new guy for PCDMIS, currently I am using PC-DMIS rev 4.3 and 2012.
recently, I found a problem with a program for my product. it is about a true position of a circle, please refer to attached photo for details.
a circle which is labelled as CHAR7, the true position result is 0.0035in rather than 0 when i just use CAD model(not a physical part) to run this program.

Appreciate if you can give me advise.

Thank you
Robin Wu

  • A few observations.

    1) That's a legacy TP dimension. You're specifying datums with Fit to Datums switched on. This could have an impact (i.e. incorrect theo's in the alignment features)

    2) You have non alpha-numeric characters in your feature and/or dimension names CHAR 73-1 etc, also if you look at the text in the dimension it says 'PLANE [weird symbols] AT RFS' this is almost certainly that it doesn't like your feature ID.

LETTERS_NUMBERS_AND_UNDERSCORES_ONLY For feature and dimension ID's.
  • Thank you NinjaBadger, I did not run the entire code before, so that the incorrect actual in the alignment may cause the TP is not report as "0".
