Load Probe Rack & Calibration sphere.

Hi,
is there any way i can import Probe Rack & calibration sphere in the Graphic display window,
I was able to import the machine easily but couldn't find any option for rack and calibration sphere.
Need exact location of these as to create program in offline mode.

  • If you are happy with a static model and don't need to animate there is a little trick you can try. Go to the Models folder in your PC-Dmis install directory (C:/Program files/Hexagon/PC-Dmis/...etc) and look for the model of your particular rack. You will notice that they all have a .draw extension. Make a copy of the model you need and then rename the file extension to .cad - it will now import into a cad or cad++ version of PC-Dmis just like any other .cad file. You can then transform it to position wherever you need on the CMM. For the cal sphere, the easiest thing is to go to the machine, open a new program and measure the sphere (and any additional cones / cylinders that make up the stem / base) then export the features as either step or iges. This will give you a model you can import offline.
