True Position formulas?

I just want to know which are the TP formulas, for cartesian and polar measurements.
Thanks.

  • A short cut that will get you close BUT NOT DEAD ON ACCURATE, when you don't have a calculator handy, Take the higher number of the 2 direction X or Y doesn't matter. This is stuff you can do in your head.

    Example: Let's say X is .0032 is out from 0, and Y is .0012
So take your X times it by 2 =.0064, because it's the higher number of the 2, take your Y cut in half .0006 add it together .0064+.0006=.007 <<<<Position
Now using the correct formula as stated above your position is actually .006835

Since I did have a Dyslexic moment as pointed out. lets say X is .0023 and Y .0012

    X doubled =.0046 + half of Y is .0006 = "(.0046 + .0006 = .0052)"
With the true formula comes out .005188

    That better?
