[2021.2 SP1] GeoTol TP calculation is wrong?

- Fully constrained alignment
- Two holes located in a plane in X
- The plane is the datum for a TP for these two holes
- GeoTol calculates the TP according to the hole positions in the alignment, but displays the coords as if in GeoTols datum alignment?

From what I can gather, the actual distance between the measured features are 29.985 between each other, which if GeoTol calculated this
correctly would be in tolerance.

  • I believe I edited that particular autofeature and by doing that, the measured diameter values are wiped (another bug in 2021.2 SP1)...

Anyway, without changing anything, I executed the program and lo and behold - the TP came out just as I expected:

The above result is what I was expecting from the get-go, but due to the autofeature bug, this never materialized...

I hope some of these QoL things can be corrected by the upcoming SP.
  • Correct, and those hits currently get re-set if you edit the auto-feature. I have asked the development team who are responsible for auto-features to change the behaviour - it is not really a bug, more a design flaw that has been highlighted by the new approach of looking at the hits rather than the pre-resolved ACTL values.
