- Fully constrained alignment
- Two holes located in a plane in X
- The plane is the datum for a TP for these two holes
- GeoTol calculates the TP according to the hole positions in the alignment, but displays the coords as if in GeoTols datum alignment?
From what I can gather, the actual distance between the measured features are 29.985 between each other, which if GeoTol calculated this
correctly would be in tolerance.
Yes I've seen this where the GeometricTolerance doesn't play well when Autofeatures are edited this way - I can only assume it's because it's looking at actual measured hit data for it's calculations.
Correct, and those hits currently get re-set if you edit the auto-feature. I have asked the development team who are responsible for auto-features to change the behaviour - it is not really a bug, more a design flaw that has been highlighted by the new approach of looking at the hits rather than the pre-resolved ACTL values.
Just thought I'd let you know that the team responsible for auto features have made the change to prevent measured hits getting automatically updated when you edit the feature's THEO values. With the new behaviour, the hits only get regenerated if you answer "YES" to "do you want to update measured values". This fix will be in 2022.2 and is currently being considered for service pack inclusion - ref PCD-217722.
