I have been having this problem for several months now. It generally isn't a big deal when I'm the only one running the CMM, but it has been causing issues when I pass the CMM off to an operator.
Here's what's going on. I am using the "report window print setup" dialog as shown in the attachment. However, at the end of the program I still get a window popping up prompting for a file location. The location of the window defaults to wherever PC-DMIS has last saved a CMM report, not the last report location saved by the current program. The new report will save wherever I direct it to in this window. If I change the report output mode from "auto" to "prompt", I will get two windows prompting for file location. The first has no effect, it does not save the report. The second functions the same as the window that I get if the output mode is "auto".
I read some other forum topics that appeared to have similar issues, and the solution seemed to be a folder permissions issue. That could be the case for me, but my user account does have access to all the locations I am trying to save reports into. I am able to create and modify files on these network drives using file explorer.
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\PC-DMIS 50 Converter does not exist in regedit for me. I am running regedit as administrator. Is there a different location for PC-DMIS 2021.2?
I did find a key with that name at "Computer\HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\PC-DMIS 50 Converter". My account has full control of this key (see screenshot). Any other ideas?
