Wondering if there is another setting I am missing. Our CMM does not retract when taking manual hits.
I know of the F5 setting in the Part / Machine Tab. Doesn't matter what we put in there.
Went into the Settings Editor and changed that one to no avail.
My controller had the capability but I could not turn it on in my settings. I had tried every setting I could within PCDMIS. I contacted Hexagon and they opened up the controller's settings (FDC Control Panel) and turned it on from there. Now manual retract is active. So if you can access the FDC Panel app then you can turn it on yourself. If not you can contact Hexagon and they should be able to remote in and flip it on for you.
did they accidentally turn that feature off during a service call or something?
