Wondering if there is another setting I am missing. Our CMM does not retract when taking manual hits.
I know of the F5 setting in the Part / Machine Tab. Doesn't matter what we put in there.
Went into the Settings Editor and changed that one to no avail.
did they accidentally turn that feature off during a service call or something?
I have no idea. It was off when I started here and everyone who had worked with the CMM said it has never been active. I'm assuming it was never turned on in the first place.
A few things could be happening. The first thing I can think of is that the section of the registry where PC-DMIS stores manretract value is protected so if you want to enable it without running PC-DMIS as administrator then you will need to give "Users" full control of that section of the registry hive. The second is that the controller has it disabled in the parameters.
