Calibration Issue

Probe build:
PH10MQ, SP25, SP25-4, Exten5way, Empty connection, 1-4 = 2by40mm
Opt Probe Settings:
ACCELERATION/MAXACCELX=150, MAXACCELY=150, MAXACCELZ=150
OPTIONPROBE/MAXFORCE=0.15,LOWFORCE=0.025,UPPERFORCE=0.075,TRIG GERFORCE=0.05,
PROBEACCURACY=0.1,POSACCURACY=0.1,#RETURNDATA=10,
RETURNSPEED=1,SCANPNTDENSITY=10,
SCANACCELERATION=10,SCANOFFSETFORCE=0.05,
PROBINGMODE=DFL,MANFINEPROBING=NO

I have found with this particular setup that I can calibrate any INDIVIDUAL tip angle through the Probe Dialogue box.
DCC+DCC, Prehit/Retract = 0.15, Move Speed = 200, Touchspeed = 3

Through the Probe Dialogue box or through AutoCalibration; if I select 2 or more tip angles, the first angle will run through without any issues. The follow up angle(s) will get a statement: "Scan has no measured points after execution. It will be marked as skipped during execution."

Things attempted:
Closed software
Deleted original files (prb/results)
Restarted PC/Controller
Opened PCDMIS 2020R2 Build 601 SP10
Remade probefile
Attempted calibrations with above results.

Anyone else experience something like this, or have ideas on how to proceed?

  • Did you ever get a resolution to this? I'm having the same issue.

    I did not get a proper resolution, I did an offline calibration for the whole probe and then recreated my parameter sets with the 'Use partial calibration' checked in the main Probe Utilities window. Now it just does touches instead of scan. But for what I'm using that probe on, it is well within my needs.

    If my memory serves me correctly (questionable) it was typically the second scan on the subsequent tips, then hit or miss on other scans along the way.
