One my quality engineers has asked me to remove the feature diameter as well as the datum diameters in the true position output on our report. I am using legacy dimensioning for the true position. Two of the datum diameters are using MMC to calculate true position. Is there a way to delete or mask both the feature diameter and the datum diameters from the true position report? I believe they just want to see the X and Y coordinates and the true position in the report.
If you want to utilize datum bonus, I believe those diameters have to be reported.
You could go the long route and variable everything. Dimension the position like normal. Extract the X, and Y locations, the measured true position value, and calculate your feature bonus all into separate variables. Then, plug those location variables into a generic points measured values. True position that point. The tolerance of the true position would be a variable that adds the position tolerance plus your calculated feature bonus tolerance.
Or you can just put a comment above each true position saying that all diameters are considered reference.
