Crashing into calibration sphere

During calibration the probe head is driving into the cal. sphere in-between tips. (Mistral, TP-20)
It has not done this before. Not sure what's changed. Other CMM ran fine (Global, TP-20).
We don't have a program, we are just using the measure button and calibrating all tips.
is there a way to add clearance moves to the calibration?

  • Running fine now. Was working remote when the issue happened so I can't prove it, but I think the operator was putting in the wrong clearance distances and/or they were clicking yes when they should have been clicking no the sphere has not moved.
We do have a reoccurring issue where PCDMIS forgets the probe file path on that machine, but I think this time it was operator error.
