TR_HWERR, CPU Fail Error [Fail Safe] !

I have recently been getting this error "TR_HWERR, CPU Fail Error [Fail Safe] !" Sometimes the machine start comes back on & sometimes I have to let it sit for a while. After getting this error this morning I shut everything down & rebooted the controller & computer. That worked but now I am getting a "TR_FG16e,Overspeed Error". As of right now I can only run thr CMM on 10% speed.

  • The overspeed error should also indicate which axis has the problem...
    From the user manual :

    The firmware has detected that the speed error (speed obtained from the counts with respect to the
    speed command sent onto the D/A) has exceeded the maximum limit allowed. It may be due to a
    motor overload owing to obstacles to motion (collision, friction), a motor failure, a failure of the
    motion mechanical system, of the servodriver, of the position transducers or of the tacho. Lastly, in
    case of a first connection of the controller to a machine, it may also be a wrong servo adjustment or
    the parameter MAX_LAG of the CONSTANT has a small value.
