TR_HWERR, CPU Fail Error [Fail Safe] !

I have recently been getting this error "TR_HWERR, CPU Fail Error [Fail Safe] !" Sometimes the machine start comes back on & sometimes I have to let it sit for a while. After getting this error this morning I shut everything down & rebooted the controller & computer. That worked but now I am getting a "TR_FG16e,Overspeed Error". As of right now I can only run thr CMM on 10% speed.

  • Shut controller down. Open the controller's vent filters and vacuum them or replace the media.  Then go to each component box and vacuum the inlets and outlets.

There's no guarantee this will work, but it certainly will not hurt it.

As for the jogbox short, as long as the orange cable to the jogbox isn't the issue, you can bypass the main umbilical's wire entirely between the controller and the machine's plug, by plugging NJB the jogbox directly into the controller, bypassing the bad wire/connection.

On my DC240, we had a UJB jogbox, (the hideous one with the touchscreen) just take a dump on us.  The machine's controller wiring had some cable adapters in line just before the controller, and in order for me to utilize our spare NJB jogbox without hexagon coming on-site, we simply bypassed all of the other wiring and plugged the NJB's cable directly into the controller's "JOG-XS9" port.  works great.
