Small area to measure perpendicularity.

Greetings colleagues. Gradually I am convinced that the simpler the detail, the more difficult it is to measure it.
Now I am working on measuring a cylinder 10mm high and 6mm in diameter, there is a requirement that both sides are perpendicular to the cylinder itself, which is the base A.
I can't find a suitable measurement strategy. In addition, the area of the sides of the cylinder is very small, and I have very poor repeatability.
Maybe you can give a couple of recommendations?

Do you have a scanning probe ?
What is the fixturing ?

Personnaly, I would glue the part on the granite, then scan a cylinder with a high density, scan the plane (2 radii) and dimension the perp, then turn the part and do the same on the other side.
(That's what I would do for a single part !!!!!!)

There is no scanning probe, I mount it on a magnet from the kit Renishaw.
I will try the scan as you suggest, but now I have a few of these parts, but in the future there may be many more.

If you're doing this kind of thing regularly, a scanning probe would be a good investment. Don't use a magnet to hold the part - magnet fields mess up the sensing mechanism of touch trigger probes. At best you'll get wonky results; at worst the probe will fail to trigger and crash straight into the part. JEFMAN's glue is a good idea if you're just doing a few parts; you may be able to hold it by the very bottom edge of Datum A in a collet or something as well.

Put the part in a v-block, swing an indicator over it and move it on.

Vladimir When I run small parts on the CMM I use double sided tape to secure it to the table.

Gentlemen, I took your advice. I glued the part on a double-sided tape as advised @ ogcharliebrown and scanned as suggested @ JEFMAN and achieved something more accurate than it was, in the future I think to remove the scan and just make a lot of points, this should be faster.
