When scanning a part on the rs5 scanning arm, even with a full/detailed cloud of points we cannot generate a complete colourmap, random groups of surfaces will just not show any data at all even when they have good coverage in the scan. changing to a different cad model changes nothing and the same groups of faces will show no data. we even tried using an older model that we know has worked in the past and still the same surfaces show no colourmap detail. This all seems to have come about after resetting the laptop we use with the machine and updating the software. since then, we have had cad issues when brining models into pc-dmis. Random surfaces in the cad model will have incorrect vectors, the vectors can be quite easily changed back manually however seems strange as the same models imported fine before. We tried importing the CAD on another machine to circumnavigate this issue however still the colourmaps where incomplete.
Any ideas for what could be the cause of this and how we can fix it? I've run out of ideas.
