Is PC-DMIS typically forward compatible?

For example, can you run PC-DMIS 2021 on Windows 11?

I found this: "PC-DMIS 2021.1 operates under 64-bit Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. No other operating systems are supported." which was written Mar-14-2022

Our IT is requiring us to update to Windows 11, but I really don't want to update PC-DMIS...

  • IT's job is to support you in what you need to do. What you need to do is run PC-DMIS. If PC-DMIS (or the version you need to run your CMM, even if that's not the latest one) won't support Windows 11, that's IT's problem, not yours. If they need to get an insurance company that won't make up stupid rules, well, they should do that.
