Multiple Machine Configurations

Is there a way to save and apply multiple machine configurations in PC-DMIS to different programs? I remember back in my Calypso days, it had a feature like that. The reason I'm asking is that when I'm programming offline, all of my probe builds are for a HH-A-T2.5 head for our biggest CMM on the shop floor. But our lab CMM has a PH10MQ head and when I program offline and then try to run the program on the lab CMM, I often have to change the probe builds in the program and also we end up with duplicate probe names in the probe list (with different heads in the build). Anyone have any ideas?

  • We have multiple probes here and over the years had others that are gone.
Our naming convention for probes is something like this:
    LSPX3_2x40
    LSPS2_2x40
    TP200_2x40
Starting with the probe head type and then the stylus info.
Saves us from having multiple builds with the same name.
I have all of them saved on my laptop so I can program with the probe I'm going to use.
