I am measuring X/Y location of a stud. The stud is welded to a surface with vector (0,0,1). Stud axis is (0,0,1) i.e. pointing straight up. I created a vector point on surface next to stud and set it as the reference feature in the "Relative To/Relative To A Single Feature" in the stud circle auto feature box. I expected the Z actual of the stud to reflect the deviation of the referenced surface point. I am finding that it is not changing, it is same with or without the RMEAS reference. I tried both default and legacy RMEAS options (inserted into program before measuring features). I reviewed the help files and cannot understand why this is not changing. I have a small area to measure the threads on stud and am needing to measure relative to the surface it is welded to.
