We just replaced an older Global Image 555 with a new Global S Blue 555. Due to the license I have available I could only move up to PC-Dmis 2015.0 from V43 MR1. I am having issues with circle and line measurements gauging inaccurately. The circular measurements are gauging 15 to 20 microns differently than other CMMs in our plant. The one line measurement is gauging about 800 microns different. I haven't been able to find any mechanical issues with the CMM. I have replaced all of the probing components to no avail. Could this possibly be an issue caused by moving to the newer version of PC-Dmis?
Yeah, 2015 is not *new*. The "updated" software has nothing to do with how it measures a diameter.
To add to Matt's comments, is it the same probing unit you had before? Did you validate the probes with the sphere? Are your calibrations touch speeds the same?
Yes it is the same probing unit that was on the old machine. I started out with the new probe head that came with the machine and switched to the old one when I noticed the gauging issue.
