Report keeps reverting to "default report"

Good morning! Have had no luck searching this: I have a set of programs from a vendor; i want to run them with the text-only report, but every time i open any of the programs they revert back to the default report. I have to reset them Every. Single. Time. Am running 2019 R2 on Windoze 10 - could this be yet another W10 thing?

  • When I look in 2020R2 there is a dropdown arrow that will enable me to choose whatever reporting template I want. After making that selection, click the 'check-mark' to 'Set this report as default'
    If it's not a check mark for you it may look like a lock in older versions. But if you hover your mouse over the icons there is a description that pops up and should help you select the correct radio button. Good luck.

    Hey , we start with a template file that has the correct report template set as default. Generally, we see no issue but every now and then something fluky will occur and we see the basic text output styling. We either correct it in that file by reselecting what our 'default' is or just take the back-up program from our server and move it to the CMM workstation.
    For us, it all starts with having the template to begin programming with.
    Selecting 'New' will typically revert to the PC-DMIS default reporting and so you would have to select your own 'default' every time.
