I have a part. Imagine a 1" thick disk 3" OD the diameter is actually a cone, so top of disc is 3" and bottom of disc is 2.5" just to get an idea of the draft profile. The top of the disc isn't a sharp point to the top surface but has a continuous radius around the OD. How should I measure the OD of the radius, which is the OD of the part on the print?
I would measure 4 cross sections and evaluate the radius size, that or using the nominal geometry measure and report as profile.
But it first depends on the callout for said feature.
