it does it when I try to "execute block" (load a probe) and it also does it when changing to DCC mode after manual alignment... sometimes the Z axis, sometimes not... plenty of travel left.
you may have travel left from where the machine currently is, but if the commanded move is outside the travel, it will pop this type message up without trying to move.
Look in the bottom right corner of the screen to see the XYZ coordinates of where the machine currently is. Compare the Y-value of where it is to where it's trying to go and you should be able to figure out what the problem is.
i first did a manual aln... got the error msg when i tried to run dcc aln
then closed the program and tested a sister program using the same probes to see if the probes were the issue... they worked fine in the sister program
then i re-opened the original program and recorded the DRO numbers with the cursor at the top of the program... image

then i moved the cursor (but not the probe head) down the program to the man aln... image
