Position help needed

All,
Attached is a (very) basic drawing for a part as it is on our print. We're are trying to get an accurate position callout for datums C & D.

Alignment:
Leveled on -A- (Z+)
Rotated to Y+ using -D-
X, Y origin is -B-

SOHCAHTOA values

-C-
side a - 2.50 mm (X minus)
side b - 33.00 mm (Y plus)
side c - 33.09 mm
angle A - 4.33 deg

-D-
side a - 5.00 mm (X minus)
side b - 35.00 mm (Y minus)
side c - 35.36 mm
angle A - 8.13 deg

Since we rotate to -D- would its nominal position be (0, -35.09) or (0, -35)?

What would -C-'s nominal position be?

I think it's rotated values would be:

side a - 7.29 mm (X minus)
side b - 33.00 mm (Y plus)
side c - 33.80 mm
angle A - 12.46 deg

making it's nominal position (-7.29, 33.80)?

The position callout is |0.15|B| for both -C- & -D-

  • Hello

hmm, shouldn't pcDMIS calculate that correctly?
    I don't think I understand your problem

    Level A
    Rotated to Y+ using C
    X, Y origin is B
    Cx = - 2.50
    Cy = 33.00

    results for D are:
    X -7.630 -7.630 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000
    Y -34.522 -34.522 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000

    if you rotate to D
    results for C are:
    X -7.142 -7.142 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000
    Y 32.315 32.315 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000
