That function doesn't have a default on/off. It goes by the last established settings from generating a new feature. If you ''F9' a feature with that toggle on and 'create' the update, your next autofeature will attempt to utilize the setting.
Long story short, you have to go into each created feature and turn it off. Unless you can craft a bas script to modify the setting to the 'off' condition.
