Can I Report this Dimension?

I want to report the .085 and .156 dims. Right now I measured the chamfer as a cone and constructed a circle between that cone and the plane of the flange. Also constructed a circle between the cone and the plane in the groove. I know that to get my final dimension what I need is to take the constructed circle Ø, subtract the Ø2.500 measurement and divide that result by 2. Is there a way to report that?

  • Assign a variable, give it's value the math equation you described.
plenty of ways to dimension it, but one way would be to use generic features. Circles or points. For a point, just throw the variable into one of the axis measured value and report location of the point.
    Example: Assign/raddist1=(Cir1.diam-Cir2.diam)/2
Then throw raddist1 into the x location in a generic point as the measured value, and the nominal in the Theo's.

If you don't want to do variables and generic features, then just draw a 2d line from the 2.500 diameter to one of the 4 holes surrounding it (doesn't matter which). Then create 3 pierce points between that line and all 3 circles. Then do a distance between pierce points. No math or variables required.
  • You can directly use CIR1.R-CIR2.R...
