From PC DMIS 2015.0 to 2015.1 and 2022.2

Hello there boys,

Well for start i am going to say this one is tricky as hell.......

So let's begin.
After long time running 2015.0 on our old PC (which is slowly starting to die, nodelock USB version DMIS), company decided to buy new pc and 2015.1 (for old programs that company uses at the moment) dmis with 2022.2 (for future projects) all on newer windows.

After installation, i took probes files from old PC and installed them into the 2015.1 , ran the calibration but then things started to get all weird and confusing.

1. Case - couldn't calibrate tip , on A0 B0 its fine everything esle is like 0.081mm deviation on calibration
2. Case - took my backup probe file overwrote the last one, but after calibration (which was perfect 0.001 or 0.000 all tip angles) when i play old program it just won't do proper circle scans (goes out of the part in conical manner no matter is it new scan or altered scan) , Also hit vectors when you do manually measured circle (inner circle) are all screwed up...i know for a fact the red arrows should point into center/out of it when mannually creating the cirlce but this was just bizarre..... When i touch flat surface on the clamping device it should point towards the tip (red hit arrow) not left/rght etc...

I am out of ideas what to do to at least make this 2015.1 working back again for the company...and a lot of is being manufactured atm..... timing is a bit short since i need to return the nodelock back to Hexagon.

For 2022.2 it aint a problem to do calibration and stuff.

Hope some soul here knows how to get this back on its "magical" tracks Slight smile

  • Did you use the settings editor to export your 2015 settings from the old PC and then bring them into 2015.1 on the new PC?

Nope, just copied probe files from 2015.0 PC to new 2015.1 PC. To be honest i never knew that there is that kinda of possibility (never bothered to touch inside since it worked when i arrived at the company first time).
  • Will try that tomorrow because we need Admin access from IT to be able to change/access into that kind of things... (company policy).

If you would be kind neil.challinor is there any other solution i can try ? I am just hoarding possible solutions to tryout tomorrow.
