Construction question

Please check out these attachments. How can I construct these 2 reference dimensions in both directions to be able to report them out? As you can see from the model they are a groove on a radius surface going in 2 directions.

  • Measure the outer diameter as a circle.
Measure the inner diameter as a circle.
Make sure these are in the same plan, you might need to project them to the same plane for this to work.
Construct point, intersection, select both your circles. This should give you one of the points for the 43 REF.
Create a new reversed circle from the outer diameter.
Construct point, intersection, select the inner diameter and your new constructed reverse circle. This should give you the second point for the 43 REF.
Dimension the distance between the two points -> your measured 43 REF.
For the 18 REF, construct a line between the two points and create a distance between the inner circle and perpendicular to the line. Make sure to check the "add radius" box -> your measured 18 REF.
