PC-DMIS 2022.2 SP3 Constant Crashing on One seat and Tip Errors on Another Seat

Hi all,

Just a quick post, recently updated our CMM online and our offline programming seats to 2022.2 SP3, ever since we have had lots of crashing on one of our online seats without any error messages, and tip errors on another seat, this has began ever since the update was pushed out, interestingly our offline seats have no problems at all. Unsure where to go with this, I wondered if anyone else is experiencing these problems? Always seems to be luck whether or not we will get issues after pushing updates out. I am currently testing and running the online seats as user accounts with admin rights hopefully that might give us some luck, other than that, any ideas on what I could do, is anyone else having problems?

Thanks

  • Thanks for getting back to me, this error appear as .net runtime errors related to KERNALBASE.DLL, both seats running as administrator now and monitoring, seems to have eased the crashing on one seat and the TIP errors do not seem to be appearing on the other, will keep monitoring, did find that the crashes seems to be happening when the user is opening a new file, all locations on the left side of the file explorer seem to disappear and the preview of the file on the right does the same, then the user opens the file and the crash occurs.

Will go ahead and disable preview pane within Windows itself and this is happening when we are using the open function within PC-DMIS to search for files within file explorer itself.
